Thank you for supporting the 2021 UBC United Way Campaign

It has been another banner year for the UBC United Way Campaign. The results of the 2021 campaign reflect the power in our community coming together to support each other, once again. The impact of our collective efforts will go a long way in supporting our neighbours who continue to face challenges such as food security, isolation and flood recovery. This unprecedented time is continuing to impact individuals and families who count on United Way’s support to make a difference in their lives.

Nearly 1000 donors contributed over $590K to benefit our communities. Since the start of the campaign over 170 volunteers ran fundraising initiatives and events that benefitted local communities and raised awareness for the work being done by United Way of British Columbia across the province. This year we gathered with colleagues sometimes in person and sometimes virtually. We took steps during the Climb Up challenge. We learned about the importance of giving through Impact Speakers at town-halls and team meetings. We are so pleased with not only the results of this years campaign but how many members of our community volunteered, participated and donated.

Thank you to everyone in our UBC community who continued to support United Way. Whether you are a first-time donor, shared and amplified the message in your networks or volunteered your time to participate or plan an initiative, your contribution has made a lasting impact for individuals and families in the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley and Southern Interior.
