Investing in the health of communities across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley benefits us all. And at UBC, we strive towards fulfilling UBC’s Vision of ‘inspiring people, ideas and actions for a better world.’
By leading locally and supporting the wellbeing of the broader community over the past few months, hundreds of you have been doing just that by donating, volunteering, supporting and participating in this year’s UBC United Way campaign. Through your commitment to a better world, UBC raised over $560,000 from close to 900 donors and through a variety of special events (including a Spelling Bee, Bake Sales, Yoga, Ramen Tasting, and a Pancake Breakfast).
We are grateful to all the individuals across campus who supported this endeavor. Because of your passion, time and leadership, you helped create a better future for some of the most vulnerable members in our local communities.Your generosity means that the United Way can help kids be all they can be, can build stronger communities for seniors, and can help families move from poverty to possibility. It’s a huge, complex and life-changing task, and something that could not be achieved without your help.
Thank you! Be proud of what we have accomplished and know that you are instrumental in alleviating poverty, creating better futures for our children and ensuring our aging population is a happy and healthy one.
We look forward to your participation and leadership in the years to come!
With heartfelt thanks,
